Digital divide

The digital divide is the inequality of the use and the access of information communication technology between different group which consist of age , geographically  and countries.

The digital divide is known as the global digital divide however this only uses countries as its main analysis, for example the global digital divide will compare countries such the USA to a country such as Uruguay.

Researchers have stated that although the digital divide has lessened in recent years , the digital divide has now apparently shifted to the knowledge divide , this means that it has shifted from people not having the access to technology but not having the knowledge to understand and how to use it.

Case 1
The Rv Gold & schiffreen case was significant in in the of the computer misuse act and future acts related. Although this is a crime, they didn’t abused the information received, however this stance has made companies think twice about their security due to the ease of how gold & schiffreen were able to obtained the login credentials.
My opinion: they say the act was poorly rushed maybe , I do believe that maybe pressure of gold&schiffreen viewing prince Phillips information l so easily led to act coming in so fast.

Case 2
If the shop worker at pc world made a mistake about the child pornography, a lot of repercussions would arise. First of all this go against the ACPO principle 2 as it states that a person must be competent to do so and be able to give evidence explaining the relevance and the implications of their actions  this means a person must have a good enough reason and hard evidence to support their accusation . This could then potentially leader to Gary glitter taken the police and the shop keeper to court of the arrest.
